All women welcome · Beginners especiallyHey girl, let’s paddleboard!
A women’s paddleboarding community. Meet amazing women, learn to paddleboard, and build real friendships on and off the water. You don’t need experience, and you don’t even need a board.
All women are welcome. Every experience level, every age, every body, every background. You belong here.
Who we are
A community of women who get each other out on the water
Girls Who Paddle started with a simple idea: getting women out on the water to make friendships, build community, and find other ladies to paddleboard with. No cliques, no experience required, no pressure - just show up, paddle, and leave lighter than you came. Every meetup is hosted by real members of the community, and someone is always there to welcome you at the beach.
Real friendships
Come alone and leave with people to text. Most of our ladies show up solo the first time.
Learn to paddle
Never stood on a board? Perfect. We’ll get you up, and it’s okay to sit, kneel, or float.
Open to everyone
Meetups are donation-based and pay-what-you-can, so money is never the reason to stay home.
No board? No kayak? No problem.
You really can come with nothing but a swimsuit and a water bottle. Rentals are available, and boards are brought right to our meetup spot.
Rentals delivered
Book a board on the event page and it’s waiting for you at the beach.
First-timers welcome
Most women at your first meetup were beginners not long ago. Nobody is watching.
Just bring the basics
Water, sunscreen, a towel, and a smile. That’s the whole packing list.

Learn the water with us
Little things that make your first few paddleboarding meetups feel easy.
Look at the horizon, not your feet
Your board goes where your eyes go. Staring down at your toes drops your chin, rounds your back and makes every wobble worse. Pick a point ahead — a buoy, a bridge, the end of the bay — and let your hips do the balancing.
